What a wonderful God we have! Everyday He touches our lives, from the very breath we breathe to the forgiveness He gives us freely.
Psalms are a perfect way to express our joy, awe and gratitude for all He does for us. A psalm is often lyrical or poetic in nature as psalms were made to be sung!
David, a man after God's own heart wrote many of the psalms in the Bible. Reading his psalms we can see his great admiration and love for God.
We invite you to write your own psalm and enter it into our first "Write an Original Psalm Competition." Writing a psalm will greatly help you as you meditate and think on who God is to you and what He has done for you.
The winners of our psalms competition will have their psalm displayed on our website and instagram page!
Need inspiration? Try writing out a list of things that God has done for you. Think of how your life has changed since you came to know Jesus. Or simply read some psalms in the Bible and see what topics various psalmists covered.
Don't worry if you don't consider yourself much of a poet. A psalm is an offering, a prayer to God. If you write your psalm from the heart, then even if you don't win you will have offered a gift to God (and really His opinion is the most important).
We have had multiple requests to hear the great psalms we are receiving. We would love it if entry could share a small piece of their psalm. Please post your favourite line from your psalm and your inspiration behind the psalm in the comments below so that we can all enjoy a snippet from our creative participants.

Your psalm must be original. You must only submit material you have written yourself.
Your psalm must be focused on God.
The winners will receive publication on both this website and our instagram page.
