Who We Are

The Potter’s House Hamilton is a place where you can come and hear God’s word. We are a multi-racial church and welcome people from all walks of life. We are blessed to have three services a week where we are able to hear a message from God and we would love for you to join us in our services.

Our church is a part of The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship. Our main focus as a fellowship is evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
EVANGELISM
Jesus said "Go into all the world and preach the gospel," and we take His call to action seriously. Reaching out to people in our community by telling them about Jesus and holding events so that they can learn about God's good news is a big part of what we do. We believe the gospel was not intended to be kept only within the four walls of the church, which is why we put an emphasis on sharing outside of church services.
DISCIPLESHIP
As a part of the great commission Jesus also said to "make disciples of all men." This is why discipleship is such an integral part of our fellowship. We work with people by helping them in their walk with Christ. This is important as learning comes while you participate.
CHURCH PLANTING
We believe in church planting as a means to both preach the gospel to all nations and to make disciples. God loves the local church and the New Testament is full of examples of various local churches. Each local church has the ability to reach people in that specific area, make disciples and in its turn plant out new churches reaching more people for Jesus.
PASTOR
PASTOR SCOTT AND NGAHINA MCGRATH
I have been Pastor of the Hamilton Potter's House Christian Church, Hamilton NZ since 1998. My wife Ngahina and I have been married for over 30 years. I also have two children and three wonderful grandchildren.
I believe that no matter who you are and what your background may be, Jesus Christ is able and willing to reach into your life. I know this, because He did that for my wife and I. I was a very detached individual, always on-guard and trusted nobody, but Jesus Christ made Himself so real to me that to deny His existence would mean denying my very existence, which of course I cannot do.
At 29 years old I surrendered, and finally accepted the truth, that is, that, Jesus Christ is creator of all including you and I, and that He loved you and I so much that He was willing to die for our sins so that we could make heaven our home. He changed our destiny as human kind from an eternity spent tormented in hell, to spending eternity with Him in heaven. He has revolutionized my life, my marriage and the lives of the people in our church. He will do the same for you.
