Hastings Impact

Telling people about Jesus

We're on fire for God we're on fire! How can you tell someone is on fire for God? You can tell someone is on fire when everyone near them catches alight. The city of Hastings this weekend was set alight.

On Thursday the 10th of August Rangi Pou travelled down to Hastings. It was a blessing for Rangi to be able to go back to a community that knew him from the past and show them the transformations that God had worked in his life.

While the door closed to share the testimony at a local high school, God opened another door to share it at an alternative education academy. This academy was for young men who due to behavioural issues were no longer in mainstream schools.

Rangi was asking Pastor Still about whether or not they were allowed to do an altar call in the school. Pastor Still told Rangi of how he wasn't ashamed of the gospel. He said, "If we aren't allowed to do an altar call, we might just have to do an altar call." Praise God they did! From the 32 people including young people and teachers 29 prayed a sinners prayer. What a powerful, powerful work God is beginning in Hastings.

Saturday saw the rest of the Hamilton saints turn up and also saints from Wellington. The saints were handing out flyers on all sides of the road backing up the one main street in Hastings. Hastings was invited to come receive Jesus.

The Meth till Death presentation was a success and over the impact weekend over 50 people gave their lives to Christ.

The fire has been ignited in over 50 peoples lives. Let us pray together that they will continue to stoke the flame and we would see those 50 people locked in and setting the city alight with their flames.
