Potter's House Hamilton topped off the year 2018 with a fun, festive and Christ-centred Christmas Concert "The Greatest Gift" on the 23rd of December. From the classic Christmas carols to the remixed pop songs of the season, the melodies, and harmonies sure brought everyone good cheer!
Saturday, the day before the concert, faithful saints hit Hamilton with prayer, rap music and testimonies proclaiming, "Jesus is the reason for the season." Flyers were handed out in every suburb making sure many people will have the opportunity to receive "The Greatest Gift" that is Jesus Christ.
The Sunday morning service was phenomenal at the same time refreshing that set the church a dynamic atmosphere with Pastor Scott McGrath preaching a very timely message on "Jesus, The Promise of Peace" making the saints even more ready for the day's later event.
At 6:30 PM, people started turning up and just minutes before the concert took off the building was already packed. There was 157 in attendance, 45 visitors. Glory to God! It was such a grand celebration of our Saviour Jesus' birthday with Sunday School kids kicking it off with their upbeat and joyous songs. The Christmas ensemble brought the crowd to a beautiful musical experience while on their seats. It was a night to remember.
Wrapping up the concert, Brother Clayton Hapi shared his testimony and preached about the message of hope. He used a broken Christmas ornament to illustrate how his life used to be, its pieces: his drug addiction, distrust in his relationship with his wife and a messed up family. But when he accepted the gift of God in his life, His love and grace, he began to see changes in himself, the people around him and his relationship with them. What once shattered God had restored. Praise Jesus! In the end, we saw four precious souls gave their lives to God. What an incredible sight to see the Saviour be born in their hearts.
The year 2018 was a year of blessings, miracles, answered prayers and so much more! We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us this new year. Join us as we continue to do what we are called to do: Share the love of Jesus Christ to every creature.
